Image Du Jour

Panama City Beach, Florida brings visions of sandy white beaches, turquoise water and beautiful reefs with tropical fish. As summer winds down and the visitors return to their homes up north, we locals take a moment to sit back and enjoy our tropical surroundings.

Beautiful Beach Villas

My good friend and local builder, Rod Ward, has recently finished a new vacation villa in beautiful Seacrest Beach along HWY 30-A near Panama City Beach.
If you have never taken a drive along 30-A on the Gulf Coast of Florida it is a trip you will want to schedule. Pristine beaches with white sands and towering dunes are the backdrops to quaint towns with village style shopping and restaurants.
Seacrest Beach is one of towns along 30-A where Rod has built a 3 bedroom, 3 bath home in an area of the subdivisions largest lots that backs up to a pristine green space. Teak hardwood, 10 ft. ceilings, granite countertops with stainless steel appliances and many more features make this villa a fabulous space to call home or a rental property.

The Garden of Edee

One of my closest friends that I've known for over 20 years had a party at her home recently for the Advertising Federation in Daytona Beach.
Edee (my friend) is one of those wonderful people that lights up a room upon entering it. She's fabulously witty, intelligent and one of those few people that actually makes a point to keep in touch with friends over the years.
Since Todd and I moved to Panama City Beach 5 years ago, I haven't been able to get together with Edee as we used to. (We partied together throughout the 80's in Daytona Beach...those were the days......)
Edee's home in Daytona is a wonderful beachside bungalow with a fabulous back yard (The Garden of Edee) complete with a kidney shaped pool. It was the perfect spot for the "Gilligan's Island party"

Thank you Edee for sharing your wonderful photo's!!
I miss you and our great times together and look forward to seeing you soon!!!

Free Beer...Yesterday

I found this wonderful sign at a local shop, it had been made in the Keys and imported to Panama City Beach.
As this is the middle of summer in a beach community, 2 things are very popular.... a swimming pool and beer...........
