Speaking of Hurricanes

As is true with any native Floridian, (or for that matter anyone that has lived here for at least 10 years or more), we all concern ourselves with the weather. More specifically the weather between the months of June and November, the official hurricane season in the North Atlantic.

Over the past few years, unfortunately, our hurricane season has been unusually active. This phenomenon has created a new and exciting breed of what we call (ourselves) Junior armchair meteorologist's.

Armed with the weather channel on television, the The Weather Underground and Crown Weather we Junior Meterologist's speak of "The Barometric Pressure is Dropping Again!" or "We are going to be on the bad side as it makes landfall...." I'm certain that bona fide Meterologist's everywhere are wishing they could slap us silly with our blogs and ramblings.
But we will not be silenced!

That is, of course, until the big one comes and we are all washed out to sea....
