Our Back Yard

Living on the water in Panama City Beach is wonderful. Whether we are taking the boat out or sitting on the patio watching the birds and other wildlife (we occasionally have dolphins and otters around our boathouse), life is good in the Florida Panhandle.
I keep a birdbath filled at all times for the finches that have nested in our mature bushes and most days it sees quite a bit of activity...

The weather has been wonderful recently and I took a few photos of our canal as we left to cruise the bay.

Butterfly Garden

Our home is a 1950's bungalow complete with an original swimming pool (nothing fancy, just a huge rectangle) that I am trying to landscape. Right now it's a mess with only a concrete border and various weeds and plants fighting to take it over.
One plant (or weed) has turned into a butterfly/hummingbird magnet. I don't know what this thing is, it's loaded with small flowers and draws hundreds of butterflies as well as the occasional humming bird.
When I re-landscape the area I'm going to have to move this colorful weed next to the pond. I was able to snap a few photo's of some butterflies yesterday.

Brandi, the newest addition to our family, has proven to be a wonderful pet. We now have 3 dogs that we have taken in (Brandi was about to be taken to the pound and put to sleep when we rescued her).
Our house is never boring nor is it quiet. We wouldn't have it any other way...

If you are looking in the Panama City Beach area for the perfect pet, please check out the Pet Harbor searchable database and rescue a new friend.

Pop Art

Well, I've run out of my own pets to Photoshop and have taken to "pinching" other photo's off the Internet to manipulate.
One of my favorite dogs for sheer ridiculous appeal is the French Bulldog. A current favorite in films, the French Bulldog has a wonderful face that just can't stop making me laugh.
Below is a Photoshopped Frenchie (Filter/Artistic/Cutout)
