Christmas in Panama City Beach

Alex came home for the holiday and was extremely surprised to see the new addition to our family. Christmas was wonderful and the boys loved to have Alex home!

Below are additional "Photo-shopped" images of the boys...

The weather here was nothing short of spectacular after an evening of severe thunderstorms and a tornado in Lynn Haven. I love sitting outside and watching the boats go in and out of our canal. With the cooler weather, fewer people venture out, however today I saw at least one sailboat coming home after a day cruise. The sun was shining all day and although the temperature was cool, the wind was calm.
I did reflect after watching a special on the Discovery channel about the devastating tsunami last year how very fortunate we are to have a wonderful home, our health and family. As I look out over the water I also realize how delicate the balance of nature is in my surroundings and how in a moment our lives could be changed forever as the people in Southeast Asia.

My crew

It's feeding time at the zoo.
Never did I imagine being the parent of not 1 but 3 dogs...they drive me crazy and keep me sane.
They are my possee, my crew.
Always at my side, under my feet, following me, staring at me, breathing on me.....thanking me for adopting them and not throwing them in the canal as they reek havoc on the household.
I wouldn't have it any other way..

Think Tropical Thoughts

Having been born and raised in Florida, I guess my body is more acclimated to the warmer climate. I got up yesterday morning and could not get warm! It was freezing outside....the wind was 15-20 knots and the humidity must have been 100%!
Turning the local weather channel on I anticipated it being around 30 degrees...it was 59.
Alright, so I indeed couldn't cut it in a cold climate. Although I am pleased to welcome the cooler weather for the holiday season, I think I'll be equally ready to welcome spring.
With that thought in mind, here is the image for the day...

Winter in Panama City Beach

We put the Christmas tree up yesterday and I wrapped our palm trees with lights overlooking the water.
There is something very special about preparing for Santa with a bathing suit on...Bizarre, but quite nice. I can't complain, I could be out shovelling snow or freezing my buns off somewhere. Speaking of which, there is a cold front headed our way and the highs may be in the lower sixties for the rest of the week........brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Beautiful Beach Homes

My good friend, a custom homebuilder in Bay County creates stunning beach homes along the gulf coast. This area is growing at an unbelievable rate as is most of Florida and new home communities are springing up from here to Destin. Rod is both architect and builder, to preview his portfolio just visit his website: www.uniquelysoutherninc.com.

Just in time for the holidays in Florida, Rob Chapman has published a sleek new website promoting his wonderful collection of artwork. Todd and I have fish poker tee shirts and I plan on getting a few more for gifts this year.

Sea School

It looks like I will have to wait and attend sea school after the first of the year. December is turning out to be a busy month. The next 3 weeks I am planning an all out SEO/Internet marketing assault campaign for my www.floridaoffshore.com website. I'm still ranking in the top 10 SERPS for my key words in the top search engines and Google has finally taken notice of the site. YEA! I best enjoy it while I can...........................
