Image of the Day

The weather has drastically changed from yesterday and it appears that winter may be on it's way (at least for the moment). Before I begin the days tasks I wanted to upload the Pop art image of the day.....

Flower Du Jour

November in Panama City Beach, Florida! It's a sunny 68 degrees without a cloud in the sky! Hurricane season is almost over (I think it officially ends tomorrow) and it feels like a spring day so the Flower Du Jour will not be a poinsettia :-)

It's difficult to get in the mood to put the Christmas tree up....maybe tomorrow!

Pop Art Part Deux

This effect is an artistic cutout... Hopefully by Christmas I will have mastered Photoshop! It's a great program.

Pop Art

I have become obsessed with image editing in Photoshop. I'm currently working on a montage ala Andy Warhol; the finished piece will be a poster for my house. Below are a few images I've been playing with to create various effects.

Photoshop

My birthday was great! Just a few friends over with Todd and I. We've spent the rest of the weekend just lounging around.

This evening I'm working on a client's website messing around with Photoshop. The image shown is of a custom beach home by my client using the "glowing edges" effect...

The next photo is of Alex and Dino with the poster edge effect.

Philosophy and Bumper Stickers

I'm constantly looking out for clever cliche's and statements on billboards and bumper stickers. How wonderful to be the individual penning these wonderful sayings....
Cover me. I'm changing lanes.
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing
and my favorite
Jesus is coming...look busy.....
I don't care what denomination you are...that's just funny.

I'm very busy at the moment. Multi tasking on my PC.
At present I've got at least 5 applications running. I'm streaming Sirius Satellite Radio, posting to this blog, Creating in Photoshop, editing in Dreamweaver and reading the Search Engine forum on Ozzu.

Interesting Blogs I've stumbled apon recently:

If you are being run out of town...

I saw a poster once years ago that read: If you are being run out of town get in front of the crowd and make it look like a parade...

I always liked that. I don't know why except that it appeared to make something good out of an otherwise bad situation.

I have contacted the Sea school and will be attending classes in December. By Christmas I will demand that everyone call me "Captain Staci" :-) After which I will go down to the Navy Base marina where we used to keep our 25 foot Parker and reminisce about the old days.

I learned how to drive and dock in this marina that's not much bigger then a backyard. Those poor guys...they used to tell me that when I was offshore they would raise a flag with a blonde head on it to warn other mariners that I was out there...I remember the day when I panicked at the helm as I was first trying to learn to use counter rotating engines. It's supposed to be fairly simple. I kept spinning in circles in the marina and almost slammed into the dock. One poor guy was watching me in horror and literally walked off the dock and fell into the water.
Of course that was several years ago, and after many hours of training and Coast Guard Auxillary School classes I am now ready for Sea School.
Those were the days....
Yep... Captain Staci
